ABSTRACT
Forests are one of the main factors in maintaining the quality and stability of natural ecosystems. The forest has a role as a water management regulator has been felt by various parties. Forests dominated by trees and other biotic and abiotic components are able to form ecosystems that are very influential on the hydrological cycle system. Bukit tiga puluh National Park is a forest area that provides many benefits for living things, one of the villages that feels direct benefits is the village of Lahai Kemuning. The TNBT forest area is a clean water provider for the community. The village of Lahai Kemuning has topographic from land and hills with a height above sea level around 40-105 meters so that it has the potential to experience drought during the dry season arrives. Forests as good water producers also have economic value that can be taken into account from how much volume of raw materials are produced and utilized in the fulfillment of human life needs.This water economic valuation will describe the quantitative value of goods and services produced by natural and environmental resources, both market value (market value) and non-market value (non market value) of this study using observation methods, interviews with purposive sampling techniques and The observation method is carried out by direct observation of research objects, the interview with a purposive sampling technique is carried out to collect primary data with respondents as much as 10% of the number of family heads (KK) directly involved in the use of water. Literature studies are obtained by studying literature, reports, scientific works, research results, and other sources related to research. Data analysis was conducted descriptively quantitatively based on the results of the observations that had been carried out. The results of this study found 3 components of water utilization in Lahai Kemuning Village, namely water use for household consumption, water use in the field of fisheries and water use for water depots. The total economic value obtained is Rp. 171.842.387/year.
