Perancangan Dan Analisis Struktur Mekanik Mesin Pencetak Biopelet Tipe Vertikal
ABSTRACT
One of the uses of biomass as fuel for households or industries is biomass pellets (Biopelets). Biopellets are a type of waste-based solid fuel that is smaller than briquettes. Biopellets or pellets derived from biomass are converted and can be used as fuel energy. In this research, the design of a vertical type biopellet printing machine was carried out and the structural analysis of the frame and shaft was carried out. The method used in researching the mechanical structure of the frame and shaft on this machine is through manual calculation analysis and finite element method analysis using the Autodesk Inventor 2022 application. In carrying out the design, the first thing to do is to do power design, then shaft design, bearing design, pin design and belt and pulley design. From the results of this research, a biopellet printing machine has been designed with a power specification of 0.5 HP and 300 revolutions, a main shaft diameter of 15 mm, a grinder shaft diameter of 10 mm, bearings on the main shaft type SKF 51102, bearings on the grinder shaft type SKF 6200, dimensions peg 4.95 mm x 4.7625 mm x 4.7625 mm and the belt uses type A51 with a belt circumference of 468.12 mm. From the results of this study it is known that the largest maximum stress is in frame 2, which is 0.583 MPa, to be precise at 225 mm from the end of the rod and the largest deflection is in frame 3, which is 0.00146 mm, precisely in the middle of the rod, and the smallest safety factor is in frame 2 which is equal to 583.19. By comparing the results of manual structural analysis and finite element analysis simulations, it can be seen that the structural frame has a safety factor value above 15 so that it is very safe to use and operate in the future.
