Deteksi Dan Pencitraan Sumbatan Pada Pipa Menggunakan Sinyal Ultrasonik
ABSTRACT
Piping systems are an important part of many applications. Piping systems may be subject to damage such as blockages. Therefore, it is important to detect blockages in pipes. One way is by using ultrasonic imaging technique. In this research, a set up and test method for detecting and imaging blockages in pipes, and identifying the shape and position of the blockage using ultrasonic signals were developed. The ultrasonic sensor is assembled using an arduino uno connected to a laptop for data collection on the pipe. The pipe is given variations in the shape and location of the blockage. The given blockages are quarter, half, and three-quarter blockage of the pipe diameter, full blockage, and ring blockage with positions of 1 m and 1.5 m from the ultrasonic sensor position. Square blockage and ring blockage were also given with positions of 0.4 m and 1.3 m from the ultrasonic sensor position. The data obtained is processed using Matlab software and the position and image of the blockage is obtained. From the tests obtained for the position of the blockage, a low percentage error is obtained from 0.05% - 3.07%. The image results for half blockage, full blockage, and ring blockage have the same shape conformity as the actual blockage. Quarter blockages, three-quarter blockages, and plus blockages have almost the same shape as the actual blockage shape. And square blockages still do not correspond to the actual blockage shape.
