Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Zooplankton Di Perairan Sungai Mandau Kecamatan Sungai Mandau Kabupaten Siak
ABSTRACT
The Mandau River area is a lowland area with the upstream part being a swamp with peat dome physiography. The Mandau River is influenced by the tides of the main river area, the Siak River. A research aims to know the type and abundance of zooplankton in the Mandau River, Sungai Mandau District, was conducted from July to August 2022. There were 3 stations namely in Muara Bungkal village as station 1 with rice fields characteristics, station 2 with characteristics of extensive rubber plantations and station 3 in Muara Kelantan village with characteristics of residential areas and oil palm plantations. Sampling was conducted three times, once / 10 days. Water quality parameters measured were current speed, transparency, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, and phosphate. Result shown that there ware 9 species, and they were belonged to 7 class namely of Crustacean (2 species), Rotifers (2 species), with protozoa (1 species), Granuloreticulosa (1 species), Cepapoda (1 species), Oligohymenophorea (1 species), and Eurotatoria (1 species). Total abundance ranged from 636 – 1769 individuals/L. Water current ranged from 0.15 – 0.28 m/s, transparency ranged from 28-51 cm, pH 4-5, dissolved oxygen ranged from 2.5-3.1 mg/L, Nitrate ranged from 0.011 – 0.032 mg/L, and Phosphate ranged from 0.043 – 0.086 mg/L. Two-Way Anova Test of zooplankton abundance between stations was significantly different. Based on the abundance and type of zooplankton found, the waters of the Mandau River has low diversity.
