Kandungan Mikroplastik Pada Air Berdasarkan Kedalaman Di Waduk Plta Koto Panjang, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the type and abundance of microplastics
in the waters of the Koto Panjang hydropower reservoir. This research was
conducted in November 2021-January 2022 in the waters of the Koto Panjang
Hydropower Reservoir. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling at 5
research stations. Sample analysis and microplastic identification were carried out at
the Waste Management Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs,
University of Riau. The results showed that the microplastic content in water at
various depths is determined by several factors, such as water temperature, water
depth, current speed, water brightness and various human activities. There are three
types of microplastics that are found, namely fiber, fragment, and film types. The
type of microplastic that was found the most in this study was the film type. The
most abundance of microplastics was found in station 1 with the highest abundance
at a depth of 3 melting below the melting point of 1,267 particles l/m3. While the
lowest abundance was at station 3 with the type of fragmelin at the rate of 0 particles
l/m3.
