Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease that frequently occurs in the Indonesian region. The main vector of this disease is the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which is infected with the dengue virus. The use of alpha-cypermethrin insecticide is one way to control the vector of DHF. The resistance status of alpha-cypermethrin insecticide is one important factor for the success of efforts to control the vector of DHF.This research aims to determine the resistance status of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to alpha-cypermethrin 0.025% in Tangkerang Tengah Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. This was a descriptive study with a cross-sectional research design. The study sample consisted of 150 Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in Tangkerang Tengah Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. The resistance status was investigated using the bioassay method with a susceptibility test following the WHO 2016 guidelines using impregnated paper containing 0.025% alpha-cypermethrin. Knockdown’s percentage of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to alpha-cypermethrin 0.025% during a 1-hour exposure was 100%. The percentage of mortality of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to alpha-cypermethrin 0.025% during a 24-hour exposure was 100%. Resistance status of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to alpha-cypermethrin 0.025% in Tangkerang Tengah Village, Marpoyan Damai Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City, is susceptible to alpha-cypermethrin 0.025%.
