Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Zooplankton Pada Ekosistem Mangrove Di Desa Pangkalan Sesai Kecamatan Dumai Barat Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau

Abstract

This research was conducted in July to August 2022 in the Mangrove Ecosystem, West Dumai District, Dumai City, Riau Province. The study aims to know the types and abudance of zooplankton. The criteria for determining the observation station were determined by the purposive sampling method, namely by looking at the activities and conditions of the mangroves. There were 3 stations (station I, stasion II and station III). The sampling was carried out 3 times with an intervals of 1 weak. Sampling of water quality parameters and zooplankton samples was carried out simultaneously. The zooplankton samples were identified at the Aquatic Productivity Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau while the analysis of water quality (nitrate and phosphate) was carried out at the Marine Chemistry Laboratory. The parameters of water quality measured were salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrate and phosphate. The results show that the zooplankton obtained consisted of 6 genera that are Cyclops, Monhystera, Lepadella, Monostyla, Hyperia and Argonotholca. The value of the total abundance of zooplankton ranged from 3057 ind/L-6114 ind/L. Based on the two way anova test on zooplankton density, it showed that the density of zooplankton was not significantyly different.
