Abstract
Panjang lake is an oxbow lake located in Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency, Riau. Panjang Lake is inhabited by several types of consumption fish whose economic value is quite standard, one of which is Thynnichthys thynnoides which is commonly in Panjang Lake. Fisheries activities in Panjang Lake affect the stock of motan fish because of the infrequent flood season and community activities to catch continuously without any management. This study aims to determine the growth rate, mortality, and utilization rate of motan fish in Panjang Lake. This research was conducted from July to September 2022. Sampling was done twice a month in a period of three months. The fishing gear used was gill net. Fish samples were taken as a whole male and female, and measured using a meter or ruler and digital scales. Parameters measured were length, weight and gonad maturity level of motan fish. Data were analyzed using Microsoft excel software, FISAT II and Length-Based Spawning Potential Ratio (LB-SPR).
