Studi Kasus Perhitungan Produksi Energi Listrik Di Pusat Listrik Tenaga Air Koto Panjang 3 X 38 Mw
ABSTRACT
Hydropower is a power plant that relies on the potential and kinetic energy of water (waterfalls) to generate electricity. This study aims to examine the calculation of the production of electrical energy in the Koto Panjang 3 x 38 MW Hydroelectric Center (PLTA). The Koto Panjang hydropower plant utilizes a reservoir that dams the Kampar and Mahat rivers in West Sumatra and Riau. The production of electrical energy in the Koto Panjang hydropower plant is influenced by the volume of water in the reservoir, which can be affected by changes in seasonal conditions. Based on SPSS processed data, it was found that for every increase that occurs in the water discharge by 1 point, the energy potential increases by 2.895,04 kWh. This shows that the water discharge greatly affects the electricity production in the Koto Panjang hydropower unit. This study also analyzes the trend of the Koto Panjang hydropower plant experiencing an increase in energy potential over the next five years. Processing trend analysis shows that the increase that occurs within the next five years is 368.49544 kWh.
