Pembuatan Sabun Mandi Cair Berbasis Virgin Coconut Oil (Vco) Dengan Penambahan Ekstrak Kacang Merah Sebagai Antioksidan
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to get the best treatment for adding red bean extract in the manufacture of liquid body soap as an additive in the manufacture of antioxidant soap. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (RAL) which consisted of four treatments. The treatment in this study was the addition of red bean extract, 0%, 1%, 3% ,5% from the raw material for making liquid bath soap. The parameters observed in this study were specific gravity test, viscosity test, alkali test, pH test, foam stability test, antioxidant test, irritation test, descriptive colour test and viscosity, and colour preference and thickness test. The data obtained was analyzed statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If F counts greater than or equal to table F then the analysis will be followed by further testing of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a level of 5%. The best treatment was S3 liquid bath soap with the addition of 5% red bean extract, with a specific gravity of 1.10, viscosity 209.18 cP, free alkali 0.038, pH 8.76, foam stability 13.26, no irritation to panelists, antioxidants 82.87 colour descriptive test 4.27 (brown), viscosity descriptive test 4.03 (thick), colour hedonic test 4.34 (like), and hedonic test viscosity 4.46 (like)
