Analisis Specific Water Consumption Dan Efisiensi Pembangkit Batang Agam Berbasis Data Pemakaian Pelanggan
ABSTRACT
Hydropower plants (HPPs) utilize water as their primary resource to generate electricity. One crucial parameter for HPPs in electricity generation is Specific Water Consumption (SWC), which represents the amount of water required to produce 1 kWh of electricity. This research aims to analyze SWC and efficiency in the Batang Agam Hydropower Plant. The methodology involves collecting daily data, including inflow and outflow data, as well as data on the electricity generated. Subsequently, various calculations are performed, including water volume, hydraulic energy, SWC, electrical energy, and plant efficiency. The study then proceeds to analyze the relationship between water volume and SWC, assess hydraulic energy based on inflow and outflow data, determine plant efficiency by comparing hydraulic energy from inflow to the energy delivered, examine hydraulic energy based on inflow and outflow values, and conduct an annual plant efficiency analysis. The findings reveal that increasing the water volume results in SWC values within the range of 345 m3/kWh to 4,170 m3/kWh, which is below the standard SWC. Significant discrepancies between hydraulic energy inflow and outflow values occur at specific times. Therefore, by comparing hydraulic energy inflow to delivered energy, the Batang Agam Hydropower Plant's annual efficiency is determined to have an average of 71.66%.
