Kajian Keanekaragaman Jenis Primata pada Ekoturisme Mangrove di Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya Kabupaten siak
Primates are an ecosystem component that has important value for the continued existence of forests and human life. Primates have 3 important roles, namely the ecological role, the economic role and the ecotourism role. Rawa Mekar Jaya Mangrove Ecotourism is an ecotourism located in Siak Regency that is managed independently by the Mangrove Nature House Tourism Awareness Group (pokdarwis). The aim of this research activity is to identify the diversity of primate species in the mangrove ecotourism of Rawa Mekar Jaya Village, Siak Regency. The method used in research activities is the exploration method. Based on the data obtained, there are 2 types of primates in this area, namely long-tailed monkeys (macaca fascicularis) and gray langurs (Trachypithecus cristatus) with The primate species diversity index value obtained was 0.548 and was included in the low category.
