Sistem Prediksi Uang Kuliah Tunggal Mahasiswa Baru Di Universitas Riau Dengan Menggunakan Metode TOPSIS

In the current era of higher education, the change in the tuition fee system to Single Tuition Fee (UKT) has changed the paradigm of education financing. The implementation of UKT for new students at Riau University began in the 2013/2014 academic year, with the Rector's decree number: 2862/UN/19/2013. The determination of UKT groups for new students at Riau University involves various components, such as parents' occupation, gross income, number of dependents, and electricity bills. However, the UKT grouping that is not yet on target invites complaints from students who feel that the UKT amount does not match their expectations. This happens because of the lack of understanding of new students when filling in the criteria points in determining the UKT system. The purpose of this research is to create a UKT grouping simulation system for new students so that they can predict the amount of UKT group that will be received along with the nominal that must be paid. The method used is the TOPSIS method, because it has advantages in handling problems with various criteria and different value ranges. Based on the research results, out of 100 students used as samples, the accuracy value is 80%.
