Perbedaan Hasil Tangkapan Pancing Tonda Dan Pancing Ulur (Handline) Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bungus Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Abstract
Troll fishing is operated by pulling the fishing gear using a boat. This means that the ship continues to sail when the fishing gear is operated so that the trolling rod is called active fishing gear. Meanwhile, hand-line fishing is operated when the ship has stopped so that hand-line fishing gear is called passive fishing gear. This research aims to determine the differences in catch results, both in quantity and type, for trolling and hand fishing gear which have the same target, the same fishing area but different operating techniques so that it can be seen which fishing gear is superior to operate, which will be seen from main and by-products. The results of the research showed that the catches from trolling rods were superior to those from hand lines. Trolling rods have fewer types of catches, namely 3 types of fish, whereas the types of catches from hand fishing are 5 types of fish. Trolling rods had a greater number of catches, namely 118 fish, whereas the number of catches from hand fishing was 86 fish. The trolling line got a heavier catch, namely 4815 kg, whereas the catch from the hand line weighed 2870 kg.
