SUMMARY


Bank services in the form of Mobile Banking seem to have become a necessity. The needs of the business world and Bank customers are increasing along with advances in technology and information. For this reason, Mobile Banking can bridge the needs of the business world and customers in terms of accelerating Bank services. Currently Mobile Banking is becoming a concern where customers can carry out Banking transactions (non-cash) at any time from anywhere so easily and comfortably by simply accessing it through the application. Even though laws and regulations have strictly regulated the protection of customer data, the fact is that there are still many misuses of customer personal data by irresponsible parties.
This type of research is classified as normative legal research with a comparative legal approach. Meanwhile, in terms of the nature of this research, it is descriptive in nature, that is, research that is intended to provide as detailed data as possible regarding humans, conditions or other symptoms, and only explains the state of the problem object without intending to draw generally accepted conclusions.
Based on the results of research and discussion it can be concluded. First; Indonesia and Singapore have differences in personal data protection regulations. In Indonesia, personal data protection regulations are regulated in Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law no. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and Law no. 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection. Meanwhile, in Singapore, personal data protection regulations are regulated in the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Code of Business Practices relating to the processing of personal data. In terms of protecting the personal data of customers who use Mobile Banking services, the two countries have similarities in efforts to protect customer personal data. However, there are differences in the mechanism for protecting customer personal data in the two countries. Second, the idea of legal protection for the personal data of customers who use Mobile Banking services in the future will continue to develop along with technological developments and the public's need for access to Mobile Banking financial services. There are also several ideas that can be applied in legal protection of the personal data of customers who use Mobile Banking services in the future, namely with stricter regulations, better security technology, education and customer awareness and stricter sanctions.
