Simulasi Dampak Sekat Kanal Terhadap Neraca Air Di Lahan Gambut. Studi Kasus di Kesatuan Hidrologi Gambut (KHG) Pulau Bengkalis, Provinsi Riau
Peatlands are naturally always wet and moist and will potentially cause various disasters if drained. In restoring the functions of peatland ecosystems as carbon storage, biodiversity storage, water storage, and reducing greenhouse emissions, peatland restoration through good water management is needed. This research was conducted at KHG Bengkalis Island, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. For Thornthwaite-Mather Water Balance (TMWB) water balance model analysis, various input data needed in the form of climate data, Sub-KHG boundary data, land use maps, soil data, as well as biophysical data, are prepared. The operation of the model algorithm is carried out using Microsoft Excel software because data input can be entered more easily. The results of the PIPG implementation simulated on the mainstay rainfall water balance obtained the highest results in the 100% scenario with the number of canal 410 blockages, which have experienced a surplus of 76.96 million m3. This is because the mainstay rain used in this study is enough to cause a surplus in the results. The results of the Perencanaan Infrastruktur Pembasahan Gambut (PIPG) analysis were conducted using 5 scenarios, namely the 20% deficit scenario of -25,05 million m3, the 40% scenario of a surplus of 7,64 million m3, the 60% scenario of a surplus of 34,96 million m3, the 80% scenario of a surplus of 64,84 million m3, and the 100% scenario with a surplus of 76,95 million m3. The comparison of 80%, 50%, and 30% mainstay rain produces a different deficit surplus value, and the expected result is 80% mainstay rain, where this mainstay rain in the 40% scenario has experienced a surplus.
