ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by various kinds of problems that occur in the world of education. One of the problems that occur in the world of education is learning outcomes, where the learning outcomes themselves determine the success of a learning process carried out. The difficulty of students in understanding subject matter is the cause of the low level of learning outcomes obtained by each student. For this reason, efforts that teachers can make are to hone their creativity and innovation in order to be able to find solutions to these problems.
This research is entitled the application of the make a match learning model in improving student learning outcomes in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Reteh. This research is included in Classroom Action research. The population in this study was 30 students of class XI IPS 1. Data collection was carried out through observation and tests. This research uses two cycles which contain several actions, namely action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques use observation and learning outcomes tests.
Based on research results, learning outcomes increase every cycle. Student learning outcomes on Pretest questions on Cycle I posttests and student learning outcomes on Pretest questions on Cycle II Posttests use the average value and percentage of completeness of learning outcomes. The average student learning outcome in the pretest was 49.83 and in the posttest cycle I was 69.5, which means there was an increase of 19.67 and in posttest II it was 84.16, which means there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II of 14. 66. and the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in the pretest was 13%, while cycle I was 53% and cycle II was 100%. This means that the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes has passed the minimum achievement of learning outcomes. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the make a match learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class XI IPS 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Reteh.
