ABSTRACT
To Determine type of pavement is necessary, a suitable Pavement for
Construction Road will get cost effective, the two main types of pavement are
flexible and Rigid.
Data on Dinas PUKimpraswil Kampar, Rumbio - Kebun Durian Road, it
is Done Cost analysis for Rigid Pavement and Flexible Pavement, the cost
analysis Used Unit Price on Dinas PU Kimpraswil Kampar in 2007 and is done
comparison by methode Present Value for Service life in 5 Year, 10 year and 15
year until 20 year last design life
Rigid Pavement need Rp. 7.648.129.815,06, for first Investment it is cost
11.25% higher than Flexible Pavement is Rp. 6.874.653.844,74, But the
comparison of cost analysis for each pavement included constructing and
maintening cost until 20 year Design Life indicated that cost of Rigid Pavement is
equivalented by present value it have cost 11.62 % lower than flexible Pavement.
It is caused by maintening cost of Flexible Pavement is Higher. So constructing
the Road of Rumbio - Kebun Durian is done by rigid pavement have cost effective
for longer Design Life.
