Manajemen Program Ekstrakurikuler Di SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
SUMMARY
The aims of the study were to: 1) Describe the planning of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency. 2) Describe the organization of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency, 3) Describe the implementation of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency and 4) Describe the supervision of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
George R. Terry stated that management is a process, namely an activity consisting of four sub-activities, each of which is a fundamental function. In the world of management, these four sub-activities are known as P.O.A.C, namely planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. It can be concluded that management is an effort, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, directing and supervising various forms of activities in an organization so that organizational goals can be achieved efficiently and effectively.
Extracurricular is a combination of two words, namely extra and curricular. Extra means bonus, additional, while curricular means related to the curriculum. According to Mulyono, extracurricular management is all processes that are planned and carried out in an organized manner regarding school activities carried out outside the classroom and outside class hours.
This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in this study through observation, interviews, making field notes, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that (1) the design of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu is good, from the results of interviews the principal holds a joint meeting with the teacher, then compiles the program, determines the program, appoints the supervisor teacher, and determines the schedule for extracurricular activities . (2) the organization of extracurricular activities is quite good, extracurricular coaches are appointed directly by the school principal, but there is no decree on the appointment of extracurricular coaches and extracurricular organizational structures. (3) in the implementation of extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan, the implementation was very good, this can be seen from the students who took part in extracurriculars who were able to take part in competitions and some won champions/achievements at sub-district and district levels. (4) in supervising extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 001 Tembilahan Hulu is quite good. Where the principal directly supervises extracurricular activities when these activities take place. It's just that written reporting from the coach to the principal has not been implemented.
