Pengaruh Motif Sosial Terhadap Penyesuaian Diri Siswa Dalam Menghadapi Peralihan Dari SMP Ke SMA Di SMAN 15 Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the changes experienced by students during the transition period or transition from middle school to high school requiring students to be able to adapt to their new environment. The type of research used is quantitative research using a survey design. The aim of this research is to find out how social motives influence students' adjustment in facing the transition from middle school to high school. This research was conducted at SMAN 15 Pekanbaru, Kel. Sialang Munggu, District. Handsome, Riau.
The research population was 238 students with a sample of 70 students obtained through purposive sampling technique. The object of this research is a questionnaire on social motives and self-adjustment. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire sheet. The research instruments were a social motive questionnaire sheet and a self-adjustment questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique uses the determinant coefficient test.
The research results show that based on the Anova output, it is known that the sig value is 0.000 < 0.05, so there is an influence between social motives and self-adjustment. The results of the determinant coefficient test on the need for achievement were 40.1%, on the need for affiliation 65.3%, and on the need for power 30.7%. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between social motives on students' adjustment in facing the transition from middle school to high school at SMAN 15 Pekanbaru.
