Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Materi Tata Surya Kelas Vii SMPN 4 Tambang
ABSTRACT
Science learning that relies entirely on knowledge and insight from teachers, causing learning to be less effective and efficient. This can result in students not taking the initiative to dig deeper regarding their own abilities and knowledge and only being able to receive the knowledge transferred by their teachers. As a result, student learning outcomes are low and in order for this problem to be solved requires a learning model that involves students throughout the learning process and focuses on students, that model is CIRC. This study aims to describe the differences in cognitive learning outcomes using the CIRC model with conventional learning and see an increase in cognitive learning outcomes of students after applying the CIRC model to the Solar System material in grade VII SMPN 4 Tambang. The research will be conducted in May-June 2023 at SMPN 4 Tambang. The study population was the entire class VII which included 5 classes and had a total of 155 students. Sampling was through lottery and class VII-B was selected as the experimental class and VII-C as the control class. This research included Quasy Experimental with Posttest only, Non-equivalent Control Design. This research instrument consists of ATP, teaching modules, LKPD and data collection obtained from posttest cognitive learning outcomes in experimental classes and control classes. Data analysis with SPSS to perform normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. The normality and homogeneity test explains that the distribution of the two classes is normal and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes on Solar System material.
