Penerapan Pendekatan Science, Environment, Technology, And Society (Sets) Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Sistem Koloid Peserta Didik Kelas Xi MIPA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru
Abstract:
This research aims to determine the improvement and categories of students' understanding of colloid system concepts by applying the science, environment, technology and society (SETS) approach in class XI MIPA at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The form of this research is experimental research with the research design used is Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample in this study was class XI MIPA 6 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 5 as the control class. The data hypothesis testing analysis technique uses the right-hand t-test. Based on the analysis of research results, it can be concluded that the application of the science, environment, technology and society (SETS) approach can increase students' understanding of the concept of colloidal systems with tcount (4,34) ≥ ttable (1,67) with dk = 70, α = 0,05. The category of increasing students' understanding of colloid system concepts is in the high category according to the N-gain test of 0,71. The research results show that the science, environment, technology, and society (SETS) approach can improve understanding of chemical concepts in colloid system material for class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru.
