Tindakan Hukum Pemerintah Dalam Menanggulangi Masalah Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (Peti) Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Tahun 2021-2022

Indonesia is a country with abundant natural resource areas which constitute national wealth. Natural riches include gold. The existing gold potential is obtained by mining. Gold mining activities in Kuantan Singingi Regency are very widespread because this has become a source of livelihood for the community. But most mining activities do not have official permits from the Regional Government. Of course, these activities have a very bad impact on life and the future. This research aims to find out what actions are taken by the Government, especially the Kuantan Singingi Regency Environmental Service, in dealing with the problem of Unlicensed Gold Mining (PETI) and to find out the inhibiting factors in dealing with this PETI problem. Because we know that the more PETI activities there are, the more environmental impacts or damage they cause. As stated in article 65 paragraph (1) of Law 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, it is explained that "Everyone has the right to a good and healthy environment as part of human rights". The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive research type.
The results of this research are actions taken by the Kuantan Singingi Regency Environmental Service in dealing with the problem of gold mining without permits (PETI). To see the various actions taken, you can look at regulatory actions, decree or decision actions, policy regulatory actions, government plan actions, and government permit actions. Inhibiting factors in controlling PETI include the absence of regional policies/regulations, lack of funds, trial and error, and livelihoods.
