A person's entrepreneurial character needs to be instilled from an early age, to give children the opportunity to generate creativity and not give up easily in facing challenges . Through high levels of creativity, children will explore their creations to create ideas for creating new breakthroughs , so it will be useful for future provisions in the future . There are many factors that influence character somebody in entrepreneurship like education entrepreneurship, environment family, trust self student, experience businessman And development science and technology. Therefore, a person must have good entrepreneurial character to grow into an independent person, have an income and be responsible answer in Century the front.
Objective research is for analyzing influence education entrepreneurship And environment family to character entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship education is an effort carried out by teachers to provide understanding, knowledge and training to students so that students have skills. The family environment is the environment where a person is born, raised and has a large role in forming entrepreneurial character.
Based on the results of field observations, it was found that students' entrepreneurial character was not good. These findings were in the form of students who were not enthusiastic, not independent, not creative and not persistent in carrying out the entrepreneurial skills tasks given. This problem shows that students' entrepreneurial character is still low in Pekanbaru City Public Middle Schools. Therefore, research needs to be carried out to find solutions so that students' entrepreneurial character becomes good.
This research was conducted in junior high school In Pekanbaru City , namely SMPN 2 and SMPN 18 Pekanbaru City. Data is collected via questionnaire. As for amount the respondent recorded 189 person students , namely 79 from SMPN 2 and 110 from SMPN 18 , using the technique random sampling. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and multiple regression. Descriptive analysis is describing the facts and the influence between the variables studied . Meanwhile, multiple linear regression analysis is used to measure the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Data analyzed with the help of program SPSS Version 22.
Based on the research results, it shows 1) Education entrepreneurship has a significant effect on entrepreneurial character. The mean score for entrepreneurship education in the research variable description is 24.69, which is in the range 20.4-25.2, which is in the good category. This means that the better the entrepreneurship education, the better the entrepreneurial character that students have, and conversely, the lower the entrepreneurship education provided, the lower the entrepreneurial character that students have. 2) The
family environment has a significant influence on entrepreneurial character. The mean score for the family environment in the description of the research variables was 50.26, located in the range 40.8 – 50.4. This means that the better the family environment, the better the environment for students' entrepreneurial character.
Suggestions from influence research results Entrepreneurship education and family environment on students' entrepreneurial character in social studies economics subjects: 1) Schools need to design a curriculum that suits the needs of their students now and in the future. The curriculum will make it easier for teachers to make plans, develop indicators of competency achievement, carry out learning steps systematically, and be able to apply various fun learning methods.
2) Students' entrepreneurial character can be formed from an early age in the family, namely by giving children responsibility for completing assignments at home. one of which is taking care of your own school needs. independence through educational activities by teachers at school can be carried out with activities and learning that are varied, challenging, innovative, active and also fun. So that children will feel inspired to participate in carrying out their skill activity assignments, 3) The culture or views of students in their families are greatly influenced by their parents. Families, in this case parents, should have a good perspective in shaping students' character and provide examples of entrepreneurial character attitudes so that children can imitate them through habituation carried out by parents, 4) Study This can be used as reference material for future researchers in conducting research on entrepreneurial character and it is hoped that other researchers can update and add other variables besides those studied in this research.
