Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Dan Keterampilan Kolaborasi Dengan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran React Pada Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur
The results of initial observations in SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur showed that in the learning process has not been able to show good science process skills and collaboration skills. Implementation of learning is still monotonous and focused on the teacher. Students are also still too difficult to convey their ideas or opinions. So that the discussion session that took place was carried out poorly. The observation also showed that teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur still use a mediocre method (conventional) in the learning process with little experiment or observation and a lot of rote material. The results of the preliminary questionnaire distribution show that the methods used in the learning process are still not optimal to improve the skills of the science process and student collaboration skills. The development of the 21st century today demands a personal master of several skills to keep pace with the Times. Among them are science process skills and collaboration skills.
This study aims to obtain the pattern of implementation of the learning model REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and transferring) in improving the skills of the science process of students Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur, get the pattern of implementation of the learning model REACT in improving the collaboration in Class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur.
This study uses the type of Class Action Research (PTK). This study is a reflective form of certain actions in order to improve the practice of learning in the classroom effectively and efficiently. Class action research is carried out through four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of this research include learning implementation plan( RPP), worksheet of students (LKPD), collaboration skills observation sheet, and collaboration skills test. Each instrument is then validated first before being used
to determine the feasibility of the instrument. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, with each cycle consisting of 4 stages of Class Action Research. Each cycle consists of 4 meetings with details of 3 meetings for the implementation of the REACT learning model and 1 meeting for evaluation.
The results of the study, validation of research instruments indicate that the instruments used as a learning tool in this study is feasible to use in an effort to improve the skills of the science process and student collaboration skills through the application of the REACT learning model in students of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur. It is known that with the application of the REACT learning model, the science process skills and collaboration skills of students have increased from cycle I and Cycle II which have been applied with very good results. Through the REACT learning model used in the study in the form of associating learning materials with the daily lives of learners can improve the skills of the science process and student collaboration skills. So it can be concluded that the REACT learning model has a influence in efforts to improve science process skills and collaboration skills of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur.
