Rancang Bangun Alat Pengering Gabah Padi Otomatis Berbasis Mikrokontroler Dengan Menggunakan Notifikasi Telegram

Rice is the staple food source of Indonesian society to this day. To produce rice, a long process is required after harvest. One of the most important stages of the post- harvest process is drying the rice grain. Based on this, in this research a tool was designed that can dry rice automatically in order to facilitate the drying process of rice grain. This tool uses a DHT22 sonor as a temperature and humidity detection sensor, the power window motor is used to drive the rice grain mixer shaft, while the Blower and Heater act as heaters, the DHT22 sensor is used to read whether drying is complete or not. This tool is equipped with a NodeMCU as a microcontroller to send signals to the Telegram application on a smartphone so that status notifications on the LCD of this tool can be seen over a long distance. Testing on this tool used rice weighing 5 kg and 10 kg in a testing period of 3 consecutive days. The drying process was carried out in the morning and afternoon. Test results showed that the drying time for rice in the morning was 32 minutes, 41 minutes, and 45 minutes for 5 kg grain, 45 minutes, 55 minutes and 55 minutes for 10 kg grain, whereas in the afternoon days, namely 27 minutes, 25 minutes and 29 minutes for 5 kg grain, and 42 minutes, 38 minutes and 36 minutes for 10 kg grain, with the humidity achieved being 20%.
