Analisis Gender Dalam Agroindustri Mie Sagu di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
By using reproductive (reproduction), productive (production) and social (community) activities, this research aims to determine gender participation in the sago noodle agroindustry in Meranti Islands Regency. This study was conducted between January and December 2023. This study focuses on the sago noodle industry of Meranti Islands Regency. The cluster sampling method was used to collect samples from 23 sago noodle companies located in Tebing Tinggi District. Research data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and gender framework analysis (GFA). The results of the research show that the results of the time spent on reproductive activities which are owned by women, are more dominantly carried out by wives with an average time spent of 126.82 hours/month (22.86 percent) or 4.2 hours/day, while husbands only amounting to 106.55 hours/month (19.12 percent) or 3.5 hours/day. This is because some household activities cannot be done by the husband more optimally than if they were done by the wife. Furthermore, the result of spending time on reproductive activities whose business is owned by men remains more dominantly carried out by wives with an average time spent of 166.88 hours/month (30.08 percent) or 5.5 hours/day, while husbands only amount to 35.75 hours/month (6.42 percent) or 1.1 hours/day.
Husbands spend more time on productive activities whose businesses are owned by women, with an average of 159.63 hours/month (28.65 percent) or 5.3 hours/day, while wives only get 112.75 hours/day. month (20.33 percent) or for 3.7 hours/day. Meanwhile, husbands spend more time on productive activities whose businesses are owned by men, with an average of 160.77 hours/month (28.85 percent) or 5.3 hours/day, while wives only get 70. 75 hours/month (12.75 percent) or 2.3 hours/day. The time devoted to social activities in agro-industrial businesses owned by women is dominated by husbands with an average of 51.38 hours/month (9.22 percent) or 1.7 hours/day, while wives only get 36.72 hours. /month (6.62 percent) or for 1.2 hours/day. Furthermore, the time devoted to social activities in agro-industrial businesses is owned by men, with research results being dominated by husbands with an average of 43.12 hours/month (7.74 percent) or 1.4 hours/day, while for wives it is 40. 78 hours/month (7.35 percent) or 1.3 hours/day.
