Simulasi Kapasitas Waduk Buatan Sebagai Sumber Air Baku Untuk Keperluan Masyarakat Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir

The Waduk Buatan built by the government in the 80s is a reservoir for the Ambang and Merbau watersheds located in Lembah Sari Village, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City, which was initially used as a source of irrigation water for the surrounding area's rice fields, which was later converted into a PDAM raw water source. The basic contour of The Waduk Buatan is needed to determine the mass curve (capacity curve) of the reservoir. This curve states the relationship between elevation, area and volume in The Waduk Buatan. The amount of water that enters The Waduk Buatan is calculated using the Mock Method, while the amount of water that comes out is calculated from losses due to evaporation added to the capacity of the PDAM used. From the results of the analysis of the reservoir storage capacity, it was found that the live storage capacity of The Waduk Buatan was approximately 300 thousand m³. The results of the analysis of the water balance of The Waduk Buatan with the average discharge in 2007 show that there is no water shortage. The maximum excess occurred in October, namely with a storage change value of 4,386 m³/sec or approximately 7 million m³ Then, by carrying out an analysis of the life storage capacity of The Waduk Buatan, the value of the water shortage can cover the shortage that occurs. Then, to ensure the reliability of The Waduk Buatan, a simulation was carried out on the capacity of the PDAM, obtaining a serviced percentage of 100% for the average discharge in 2007. Then a simulation was carried out on the installed PDAM capacity of 80 1/sec which could be increased to 300 l/sec with a serviced percentage of 79% with failures of 21%, operational failures for a capacity of 300 1/sec occurred in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2019. Where failure occurred because the initial storage capacity was negative which caused the suction pipe to not operate and was also caused by storage end is smaller than the dead deposit. So it is necessary to control the operation of drawing water from pipes so that capacity remains available for the following month. Judging from the reliability and capacity factor of the optimal withdrawal reservoir that can be used, it is 105 l/sec of installed capacity. Based on the results of The Waduk Buatan simulation, it can be used as a source to fulfill PDAM raw water sources for residents around The Waduk Buatan.
