Analisis Pidato Joko Widodo Pada Sidang Umum Ke-76 PBB Pendekatan Kognisi Sosial: Van Dijk

This study analyzes the structure of discourse, social cognition, and social context of President Joko Widodo's speech at the 76th general assembly of the United Nations using van Dijk's social cognition approach. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the scheme of critical discourse analysts by van Dijk. The results of this study explain that President Joko Widodo's speech has three schemes of critical discourse analysis according to the van Dijk model. Discourse structure in President Joko Widodo's speech was analyzed based on three sets of structure, namely macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure. The three sets of structures have thematic, schematic, semantic, syntactic, stylistic, and rhetoric elements which is the direction of analyzing the structure of discourse in President Joko Widodo's speech. The social cognition that was inferred from President Joko Widodo's speech contains elements of knowledge and attitudes. These two elements show what knowledge and beliefs President Joko Widodo have to create a particular discourse. The social context found in President Joko Widodo's speech is divided into local contexts and global contexts. The social context explains the relevance between the social situation and the discourse in President Joko Widodo's speech
