Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Kebebasan Mimbar Akademik dan Otonomi Keilmuan Dosen Di Kampus Universitas Riau

This research is motivated by the many violations against academic freedom and campus autonomy. The formulation of the problem and aim of this research is to determine students' perceptions of the freedom of the academic platform and the scientific autonomy of lecturers. The benefit of this research is as knowledge in understanding the freedom of the academic platform and the scientific autonomy of lecturers.
This research applies descriptive qualitative methods with percentages. The data collection tools used consisted of questionnaires and interviews consisting of 12 statements. All students at Riau University are the population in this research. Using the Quota Sampling technique, researchers took a sample of 10 people from each faculty at Riau University. Determining respondents which included 10 individuals per faculty was carried out using the Accidental Sampling technique.
Based on the research results, it was found that the average percentage value of the alternative answers of dominant respondents was 96.83%, where this range was in the range of 75.01% - 100%. Thus, it can be concluded that Riau University students' perceptions of academic platform freedom and lecturer autonomy are at the "very good" level.
