Pemanfaatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Limbah Ikan Patin (Pangasianodon Hypophthalmus) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Azolla Microphylla Pada Media Air Gambut
Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) of catfish waste contains nutrients N, P, and K. The nutrients are needed for the growth of Azolla microphylla population in peat water media that can improve peat water quality parameters. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of LOF of catfish waste on the growth of A. microphylla in peat water media and to obtain the best doses of LOF of catfish waste for the growth of A. microphylla. This research was conducted from May to June 2023 at the Environmental Quality Laboratory of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University. This study used a one-factor complete randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatment in this study was the application of different LOF patin fish waste with doses of P0 (control), P1 (1,25 ml/L), P2 (1,5 ml/L), P3 (1,75 ml/L), and P4 (2 ml/L). The results showed that the application of LOF catfish waste affects the growth of A. microphylla. The best dosage after study was 1,5 ml/L with an average relative growth rate of 59,66 g/day, biomass gain of 1786,66 grams, and density of 3698,57 ind/m2. Furthermore, the value of water quality parameters during the study for temperature (28-300C), TDS (79,66-134,33 mg/L), light brown to dark brown peat water color, brightness (13,4-16,3 cm), pH (3,4-5,5), DO (5,1-5,5 mg/L), alkalinity (17,00-31,90 ppm), CO2 (9,78-34,77 mg/L), nitrate (3,83-7 mg/L), and orthophosphate (1,05-3,94 mg/L).
