The Village Consultative Body is a partner of the village government who is solid in promoting the welfare of the people. The Village Government and the Village Consultative Body are expected to be able to bring progress by providing direction and input in building good village governance. The function of the BPD is as an institution that stipulates Village Regulations with the Village Head, as well as accommodates and distributes community aspirations. The research objective was to determine the performance of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in organizing democratic village governance. Village Consultative Body (BPD) in organizing democratic village governance in Karya Indah, Tapung District, Kampar Regency.This research was carried out in Karya Indah Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, aiming to find out Community Perceptions about the Karya Indah Village Consultative Body, Tapung District, Kampar Regency in 2021. The type of research used in this study used qualitative descriptive research, data collection methods namely, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion.
The Village Consultative Body is an institution that carries out government functions. The Village Consultative Body has the function of discussing and agreeing on draft village regulations with the Village Head, accommodating and channeling the aspirations of the village community, and supervising the performance of the village head. Article 32 of the Permendagri states that the duties of the BPD are as follows: 1. Explore people's aspirations. 2. Accommodate people's aspirations. 3. Managing community aspirations according to the needs of the community itself by holding deliberations with the BPD so that the government knows what the community needs. 4. Channeling the aspirations of the people of Karya Indah Village in 2021. 5. Discussing and agreeing on the Draft Village Regulations with the Village Head. 6. Carry out supervision of the performance of the village head
