Career planning is the preparation of work-focused plans and the introduction of career directions to see the logical progress of individuals within the organization. One of the developmental tasks that must be carried out to achieve maturity in career choices is career planning. Individuals will experience difficulties in continuing their lives to the next stage if one of their developmental tasks is not fulfilled optimally.
The research, entitled Analysis of Student Career Planning in the Independent Learning Curriculum and its Relationship with the Guidance and Guidance Program in Schools, aims to determine students' career planning in schools in the Guidance and Guidance Curriculum and its application to career guidance programs in schools.
This research is a quantitative and qualitative descriptive research using survey, interview and documentation methods. The research population was class Data collection was carried out by distributing career planning scale questionnaire research instruments given to class X students and interviews with guidance and counseling teachers at school.
From the data obtained through a questionnaire survey of students, it can be concluded that the majority of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru are in the good category. Meanwhile, there are 15 types of career guidance services provided by BK teachers with implementation focused on planning the selection of students' specializations.
