Strategi Keberlanjutan Pengelolaan Hutan Adat Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan
The Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest experiences problems covering ecological, economic and socio-cultural aspects. Regional problems in the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest in the form of not maximizing education / assistance, land use for oil palm plantations that have not run as expected are the causes of not achieving the expected management of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest.
This study aims to analyze the existing conditions of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest, the level of management sustainability and formulate a strategy for the sustainability of the management of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest in Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This research is expected to be one of the guidelines in an effort to formulate strategic steps that must be carried out for stakeholders in realizing a sustainable customary forest management system. Data collection methods in this study consisted of field surveys, interviews and literature studies. Data analysis techniques consist of descriptive analysis and MDS analysis with Rap-Forest software.
The results showed that the existing condition of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest from the ecological aspect regarding the availability of zoning, land cover, tree species diversity and protection of flora and fauna is still maintained and falls into the good category. From the economic aspect, the income level of the management is still low. The results of the MDS analysis (Rap-Forest) obtained a very sustainable dimension is the ecological dimension (82.07%). The socio-cultural dimension is also classified as very sustainable with an index value (88.39%). While the socio-cultural dimension is classified as less sustainable with a relatively small index value of (51.81%). In multidimensional terms, the sustainability status of Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest management is categorized as moderately sustainable with an index value of (66.32%).
The results of the Rap-Forest analysis also produced leverage attributes. There are 9 (nine) leverage attributes that are considered the most influential on the sustainability of the management of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest, namely: (1) The level of community dependence on customary forests, (2) The level of income of the management, (3) The level of community income, (4) Customary forest rehabilitation programs, (5) Types of NTFP products, (6) Availability of funds in protecting forest areas, (7) Diversity of tree species, (8) Vegetation cover, (9) Protection of flora and fauna.
Sustainable management strategies for the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest can be carried out by: (1) Enrichment of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) to increase community dependence and income on customary forests, (2) Development of ecotourism to increase the income of managers and have the availability of funds in forest protection efforts, (3) Monitoring and maintenance to increase the success of land rehabilitation (RHL).
Based on the results of research on the sustainable management of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest, the author suggests several things, namely, the need to conduct further research related to the technological dimension and the institutional legal dimension in the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest to increase the sustainability index value of the Imbo Putui Kenegerian Petapahan Customary Forest.
