Strategi Pengendalian Stunting Pada Balita Di Desa Tabing Kecamatan Koto Kampar Hulu Kabupaten Kampar Tahun 2023

Stunting is a world problem because of its implications for determining the future of the nation. Indonesia, as a developing country, still has a high stunting prevalence rate. According to 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data, the prevalence of stunting was recorded at 8.7 million (30.7%) babies under five years old (toddlers) experiencing stunting. This figure is still far from the target figure set by the World Health Organization (WHO), the stunting rate should be no more than 20%. Obstacles were found in the implementation of achieving stunting reduction targets, among other things, due to the lack of a comprehensive strategy to be outlined in the implementation of intervention programs to support stunting prevention, starting from environmental health, maternal education, parenting patterns and improving nutrition for mothers and children under five. The research was conducted from February to July 2023 to analyze the design of rural stunting control strategies, the research location was in Tabing Village, Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar Regency.
The research location is the locus of occurrence in Riau province in 2023. The research method uses a quantitative approach with the SWOT technique in determining alternative intervention programs and strategies that are effective for accelerating stunting reduction. The research results obtained show that the strategy obtained in controlling stunting is the S-O (Strength-Opportunities) strategy where the Tabing village government together with the Regional Government needs to increase effectiveness in accelerating the reduction of rural stunting rates, optimizing specific and sensitive nutritional interventions to encourage improvements in the quality of parenting patterns. toddler. In the short term, it is necessary to optimize specific and sensitive nutritional interventions, while in the long term strategy, there is a need to intensify opportunities for collaboration support between sectors and multi-stakeholders to ensure sustainability and achieve the target of accelerating stunting reduction. Apart from that, it is necessary to implement a Public Private Partnership strategy in efforts to enforce governance.
