Strategi Dinas Pariwisata Dan Kebudayaan Dalam Pengembangan Penunjang Destinasi Pariwisata Berbasis Geopark Di Geosite Batu Kasah Kabupaten Natuna Tahun 2019-2020

Tourism development in Natuna is an interesting phenomenon to discuss, this is because in 2015-2018 the Natuna tourism sector did not show significant development in the number of tourist visits. However, in 2019, after the designation of Natuna Regency as a National Geopark site, the number of tourist visits showed quite significant tourist visits. With the increasing number of tourists since the designation of Natuna Regency as a National Geopark area, this is of course a question and a question mark in itself whether the strategy of the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office can be said to be successful in developing tourism in the area. This research aims to find out the strategy carried out by the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office in developing geopark tourism at the Batu Kasah Geosite in 2019-2020 and to find out the factors that hinder the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office in implementing the geopark tourism development strategy at the Batu Kasah Geosite in 2019-2020. 2019.
This type of research is descriptive. The research location was the office of the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office as the main actor in the development of the Batu Kasah Geosite, Natuna Regency and made direct observations at the Batu Kasah Geosite location. Data was collected through informants using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use interviews, documentation and observation.
The results of the research concluded that the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office in its government strategy formulated at least five things to focus on in developing tourism at the Batu Kasah Geosite, namely: Tourism product development strategy, marketing strategy, accessibility development strategy, infrastructure development strategy and business development strategy . The strategy carried out by the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office in developing geopark tourism support at the Batu Kasah Geosite in 2019-2020 has not run optimally, this is due to several factors such as access to Natuna Regency is still difficult and limited, constrained by land acquisition and refocusing the budget for Covid-19 pandemic.
