Pengembangan E-LKPD Pada Materi Luas dan Volume Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar Dengan Pendekatan RME Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Siswa SMP
Background bluntly this study shows that the mathematical connection ability of students in Indonesia is still relatively low from the results of PISA. The results showed that Indonesia's mathematical literacy ability was ranked 73 out of 79 countries with a score of 379 below the international average score of 489. Problem-solving skills, connection skills, critical thinking, and creative skills of students in Indonesia are still low so students are weak in solving non-routine problems related to proving, reasoning, generalizing, making connections, and determining the relationship between the facts given. A student is said to be able to solve a problem if he can apply previously acquired knowledge to an unfamiliar situation. Therefore, the ability to relate mathematical concepts/rules to one another or applications in the real world is the definition of mathematical connection ability. Permendikbud number 21 of 2016, namely the ability of mathematical connections is one of the goals of learning mathematics.
21st-century learning is required to be based on technology to balance the demands of the millennial era, with the aim that students will get used to 21st-century life skills. This condition requires teachers to be able to follow the development of technology in learning. One of the main teaching materials that can be used is in the form of electronic student worksheets (LKPD). E-LKPD is a sheet that must be done by students to make it easier for students to understand the material in electronic form. E-LKPD in this study will be able to be created using Adobe Flash CS6 application deployed through like exe format so that it can be accessed through a computer without the internet.
The E-LKPD that will be developed in this study uses a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach because the RME approach can improve students ' mathematical connection skills.
The purpose of this study is to develop E-LKPD (electronic learners worksheet) flat-sided spatial building materials with RME approach to facilitate the mathematical connection ability of grade VIII Junior High School students who are valid and practical to facilitate teachers and students in learning. This research is development research using the ADDIE Development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The Analysis phase is carried out by analyzing the performance and needs analysis. The Design stage is the stage of making instruments and making initial plans E-LKPD. The Development stage is the validation stage of E-LKPD by experts using validity instruments. The implementation phase is a test phase to determine the level of practicality of E-LKPD, after being tested, then students are given a response questionnaire to determine the practicality of the E-LKPD. The evaluation stage is the stage of revising the E-LKPD based on the results of implementation.
The results of validation by experts obtained an average of 92.44% ratings for the three expert. Based on the validity assessment criteria, the average value of 92.44% meets the criteria of "very valid". The three expert also concluded that E-LKPD is worth testing with minor revisions. The results of the student response questionnaire also obtained overall indicators obtained an average of 93.21% with the category "very practical". Based on the results of the trial assessment through the learner response questionnaire, it can be concluded that E-LKPD is declared practical and feasible to use with little revision.
Based on the results of the analysis of the validity and practicality of E-LKP that has been developed, it can be concluded that E-LKPD by using the RM approach to facilitate the ability of mathematical connections of learners on the flat-sided spatial material has met the criteria of valid and practical.
