In the current era of globalization, science learning should be able to form a scientifically literate attitude in students who have the ability to think scientifically to be able to solve individual problems and issues in society so that they can act as good human resources. Students often find less than optimal learning resources in the form of innovative alternative media, as independent learning resources to help overcome difficulties in understanding chemical material. The development of an e- module based on multiple representations on reaction rate material needs to be carried out because several problems were found at the SMAN school in Kampa District.
The problem found is the low level of chemical literacy competency, the availability of learning resources from schools is very limited and cannot be owned independently by students, even though students need competency in implementing AKM (Minimum Competency Assessment) so teachers need innovative strategies to carry out the learning process and also learning resources that can motivate, be interesting and can be used independently by students. One alternative that can be used is to use Android as a learning medium. So it is necessary to develop an e- module based on multiple representations in the form of an Android application which aims to increase students' chemical literacy competence and learning independence.
This research uses the development methodResearch and Development(R&D) with the ADDIE model which consists of five steps, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Preparing e-modules based on multiple representations contains an initial plan about what will be written in the e- module using an online application. The applications used are Inkscape to create pages, flip PDF to add animation, video, v-Lab and the Web2APK application to create an Android application.
The validity of the e-module was developed to increase students' chemical literacy competency and learning independence on reaction rate material. Based on the results of material validation, the results obtained were 96% for design suitability aspects with valid criteria, 87% for material feasibility aspects with valid criteria, 92% for material presentation aspects with valid criteria. valid, linguistic aspect 88% with valid criteria. Media validation resulted in the design appearance aspect being 96% with valid criteria, the software feasibility aspect being 100% with valid criteria, the language aspect being 98% with valid criteria. Educator responses and student responses to the multiple representation-based e-module developed on reaction rate material received an educator response rating with an average of 91.33% with very good criteria. Meanwhile, students' responses obtained a score of 90% in the very practical category.
The implementation of the e-module based on multiple representations which was used to increase chemical literacy competence obtained pretest results in the

control class with a score of 50% and the experimental class with a score of 51%. Meanwhile, the posttest score for the control class was 69% and the experimental class was 84%. The N-Gain value was obtained in the category of an increase in chemical literacy competence with a value in the control class of 0.38 in the low category and in the experimental class a value of 0.65 in the medium category. The t-test value is 0.00 with the category that there is a significant difference between the increase in chemical literacy competency in the experimental class and the control class.
Meanwhile, the results of the multiple representation e-module used to increase students' learning independence showed that the pretest results for the control class were 65% and for the experimental class 61%. Meanwhile, the posttest score for the control class was 68% and for the experimental class 71%. It was found that the N- Gain value in the category showed an increase in learning independence with a value in the control class of 0.09 in the low category and in the experimental class with a value of 0.33 in the medium category. The t-test value is 0.113 with the category that there is no significant difference in increase between the learning independence of the control class and the experimental class.
