Hubungan Panjang Berat Badan dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Motan (Thynnichthys thynnoides) di Teluk Benderas Oxbow Desa Rantau Baru Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan
Thynnichthys thynnoides is one of the freshwater fish species found in Oxbow Teluk Benderas, utilized as a consumable commodity by the local community. The purpose of this study is to investigate the length-weight relationship, growth patterns, and the condition factor of motan fish. The study was conducted from March to May 2023. The research was conducted using a survey method with sampling carried out 6 times. A total of 134 T. thynnoides were captured during the study, with 87 and 47 for males and females respectively. Total Length (TL) ranges from 103 – 200 mm, with males (103-175 mm) and females (144-200 mm). This suggests that females are relatively larger compared to male. The analysis of the length-weight relationship for the overall T. thynnoides showed a value of b = 2,752 indicating a negative allometric growth. Based on gender, the growth pattern for females showed a positive allometric (b = 3,124) and male showed a negative allometric (b = 2,732). The condition factor of T. thynnoides was between 0,483 and 1,555. The avarage condition factors its 0,841.
