Status Keberlanjutan Perikanan Tangkap Jaring Patin berdasarkan Aspek Ekologi, Ekonomi, dan Teknologi di Kelurahan Teluk Meranti Kabupaten Pelalawan
The Kampar River, situated in Teluk Meranti Village, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, has the potential for fisheries with significant economic value, particularly the catfish (Pangasius sp.) caught using catfish gillnet. Unfortunately, the water quality of the Kampar River has been affected by pollutants originating from PT. RAPP (Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper), leading to a notable decline in its overall quality. The Kampar River is well-known for the natural phenomenon of bono waves, which are waves formed by the confluence of the Kampar River currents, the South China Sea currents and the Malacca Strait currents. These areas affected impacts the development of fishing ground due to alterations in water conditions. This study aims to determine the index value of the sustainability status of catfish gillnet based on the ecological, economic and technological aspects in Teluk Meranti Village, Pelalawan Regency. The method used was survey method with data collection method through interviews to respondents who were selected by purposive sampling method. The results of the study using the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) technique known as rapfish (Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries) showed the sustainability value of each aspect. The ecological aspect recorded a value of 76.47 classified as sustainable, the economic aspect of 56.21 classified as moderately sustainable, and the technological aspect about 85.47 classified as sustainable. Collating these results, the multidimensional sustainability index calculated at 66.85 implies a moderate level of sustainability.
