Onomatope Dalam Webtoon Sweet Home Karya Kim Carnby: Analisis Semantik

This research aims to describe the form of onomatopoeia and function of onomatopoeia in the Indonesian translation of the webtoon Sweet Home by Kim Carnby. This research is a type of qualitative research. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation study and note-taking techniques. Based on the research results, it was found that onomatopoeia forms consist of four types, namely one syllable form (monosylabel) without repetition, one syllable form (monosylabel) with repetition, two syllable form (bisilabel) without repetition, and two syllable form (bisilabel) with repetition. Then the onomatopoeia function was discovered which consists of four types, namely the function of describing sounds produced by objects, describing sounds produced by human behavior or actions, showing the intensity of an event or action, describing human emotions or the mood of a character.
