One of the problems still faced by Rokan Hulu Regency is that the poverty rate is still high. With a high poverty rate, the consumption patterns of poor households are low. The causes are influenced by socio-economic factors that occur in society
The aim of this research is to analyze the socio-economic characteristics that influence poor households in Rokan Hulu Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using multiple regression methods. The population of this study was poor households in Rokan Hulu Regency and the sample used was 60 respondents.
The results of this study show that several socio-economic factors influence the consumption patterns of poor households in the form of the income of the head of the household, family responsibilities and the age of the head of the household and several socio-economic factors that do not influence the consumption patterns of poor households, namely the education of the head of the household and asset ownership. .
