Kesantunan Berbahasa Dalam Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap

This study aims to describe compliance and violation of language politeness in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data of this study is compliance and violation of the politeness of the language of the actors of the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. The source of this research data is the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap which lasts 1 hour 53 minutes. The data collection method in this study used listen and record. The listen and record technique here means that researchers listen carefully to the speech of the actors in this Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap film and record the speech identified as the maxim of politeness in language. The results of this study found compliance and violation of language politeness from six maxims of language politeness according to Leech, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of humility, the maxim of agreement, the maxim of sympathy.
