Sistem Sapaan Kekerabatan Berdasarkan Perkawinan Campuran Suku Batak Dengan Suku Lainnya Di Desa Kelesa Kecamatan Seberida Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu
The kinship greeting system is a greeting word used to greet interlocutors who still have a kinship relationship either based on bloodline or marriage line in mixed marriages between the Karo Batak tribe and the Nias tribe. This research aims to explain the kinship greeting system based on lineage and to explain the kinship greeting system based on marriage lines in mixed marriages between the Karo Batak tribe and the Nias tribe. This type of research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were non-participant observation techniques, structured interviews, note-taking techniques and recording techniques. The data analysis technique used is using the data analysis technique proposed by Burhan Bungin with several stages including; data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research, from research on the kinship greeting system in mixed marriages between the Batak Karo tribe and the Nias tribe, were the discovery of kinship greetings based on lineage, namely greetings aimed at relatives from the father and also found kinship greetings based on marriage lines aimed at relatives from the mother which were also intended for greet relatives who are related by a previous marriage. The family uses greetings in the regional language, but also uses Indonesian. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of greetings using the local language of each parent's ego or using Indonesian does not cause problems or disputes, because there has been an agreement between each family in terms of greetings, what greetings to use.
