Sistem Informasi Penentuan Jaadwal Seminar Kerja Praktek Seminar Proposal Dan Sidang Skripsi Pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau Menggunakan Algoritma Genetika
Electrical Engineering is one of the majors at Riau University. Most academic activities in the Department of Electrical Engineering are still carried out manually, such as determining the schedule for Practical Work (KP) seminars, Proposal Seminars and Thesis Sessions. In the Department of Electrical Engineering, the problem faced is that scheduling similarities and delays often occur. Scheduling is a complicated procedure because it has to be adjusted to room availability, hours and also the availability of lecturers who will test, and the process of checking seminar requirements and determining the schedule will takes quite a long time. So digitalization is needed, by creating an information system that can simplify the process of determining seminars in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The system was created using the Laravel framework and the method used to build this system was the Genetic Algorithm method. Determining the seminar schedule was tested using functionality aspects, parameter testing using Expert Judgment, and hypothesis testing. The results of the functional suitability test were 100% of the expected results. The results of the usability test using Expert Judgment obtained test results that were in the very good category.
