Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Kemiringan Poros Propeller Terhadap Prestasi Prototype Kapal Wisata Untuk Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional
Based on the implementation of the national unmanned fast boat contest (KKCTBN), the placement of the propeller shaft tilt angle and the number of propeller blades is one of the main factors in the success of the ship's propulsion system. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the effect of the propeller shaft tilt angle and the number of propeller blades on the performance of the prototype tourist ship. This research was conducted using the prototype experiment method. The propeller shaft tilt angle is varied by 10º, 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º. The number of propeller blades is varied using 2 blades and 3 blades. Ship performance testing in the form of thrust, straight speed and ship maneuverability. Testing the thrust of the ship is done under static conditions. Straight speed testing is done by measuring the ship's travel time in passing the test track with a distance of 50 meters. Ship maneuvering testing is done by measuring the ship's travel time around a circle that has been marked. The results showed that the tilt angle of the shaft and the number of propeller blades affect the thrust, straight speed and maneuverability of the ship. The tilt angle of 20° with 2 blades of propeller produces the most optimal thrust force, straight speed and ship maneuverability, with a thrust force value of T = 16.50 N, straight speed V = 5.48 m/s and maneuverability speed V = 1.72 m/s.
