This research was motivated by the lack of cooperation between the village government and the community in managing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Koto Sentajo village, Kec. Sentajo Raya, Kab. Kuantan Singingi. The problem formulation of this research is whether cooperation between the village government and the community is effective in managing BUMDes and whether there are obstacles to collaboration between the village government and the community in managing BUMDes in Koto Sentajo village, Kec. Sentajo Raya, Kab. Kuantan Singingi. The aim of this research is to determine and explain the effectiveness of collaboration between the village government and the community in managing BUMDes and to determine the obstacles to collaboration between the village government and the community in managing BUMDes in Koto Sentajo village, Kec. Sentajo Raya District. Kuantan Singingi. Data collection techniques in this research were observation, interviews and documentation, as well as 9 informants.
Based on the research results, it can be seen that cooperation between the village government and the community is still ineffective, there are businesses that are currently running that are still underutilized by the village community, therefore the current business has not made progress due to a lack of communication with the community to build a business. which will be executed. Every business that is run has different obstacles that cause the business not to progress and not to have a profit in running the business. One of the businesses owned by Koto Sentajo village that is less effective is the Bri Link business, due to the location of the business being far from residential areas.
