Studi Kelayakan Metode Dual Homing Dengan Memanfaatkan Gigabit Passive Optical Network (Gpon) Pada Cluster Garuda Sakti Pt. Indonesia Comnets Plus (Icon+)

Based on survey results from the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), the number of Internet users in Indonesia will reach 215.63 million in 2022-2023. Up 2.67% from the previous period which amounted to 210.03 million users. The number of internet users is equivalent to 78.19% of Indonesia's total population of 275.77 million people. Compared to the previous survey, the Internet penetration rate in Indonesia increased by 1.17% this year from 77.02% in 2021- 2022. Fiber to the home (FTTH) is an access network that connects an internet network access provider with home customers. This research aims to conduct a feasibility study on the method commonly used at PT.ICON PLUS, namely the single homing method with the method to be tested, namely the dual homing method. This research was carried out using Cisco Packet Tracer software and eNSP software in combination with Wireshark to get quality of service results from each test. Analysis of the results of this test is based on the QoS obtained from the test which has produced an average throughput of 1,317 Kbps, packet loss of 0%, delay of 1.64 ms, and jitter of 16 ms. From all these results it can be concluded that the planned method is suitable to be applied because it has a quality of service that is classified as good in the standard used as a standard reference for this research..
