Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five years of age or toddlers caused by chronic and continuous malnutrition. Stunting is related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the second goal, namely zero hunger. The causes of stunting include social and economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, pain in the baby, and lack of nutritional intake for the baby. Stunting in Indonesia is an issue that is of great concern to the government, one of which is the Rokan Hulu Regency Government which has a high prevalence of stunting. This research was located in Rambah Samo Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The aim of this research is to describe the role of villages in preventing stunting in Rambah Samo Village. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach and a qualitative descriptive research type. The theory used is Ryass Rasyid's role theory with 3 indicators 1) regulator, 2) dynamist, and 3) facilitator. The results of this research based on Ryass Rasyid's theory can be seen in the indicators that the role of village regulators has not established village regulations and has not allocated funds properly. From the dynamic indicators, it can be seen that the role of Rambah Samo Village has been carrying out socialization and mentoring activities which are going well, accompanied by the Rambah Samo I Community Health Center, village midwives and posyandu cadres. In the facilitator indicator, the role of the village has been carried out by providing facilities to each posyandu and providing facilities for socialization.
