Motivasi Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Riau Mengikuti Magang Studi Independen Bersertifikat
The Internship and Certified Independent Study Program is a component of the Independent Learning Campus Program. This program provides opportunities for students from various universities under the coordination of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology to participate in workplace learning. This program can be attended by students starting from the 5th semester with a duration of 6 months. The success indicator outcome is that students who participate can recognize or be equivalent to up to 20 credit hours. The purpose of this research is to determine the motivation of students in the Certified Independent Study Internship at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in participating in the Certified Independent Study Internship. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with a sample of 66 respondents of students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences participating in the Certified Independent Study Internship. Data collection is done by creating a list of structural statements, observation, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that students' motivation to participate in the Certified Independent Study Internship is relatively high due to internal factors that make respondents proud if they graduate from the Certified Independent Study Internship program, and inhibiting factors are in the moderate category because departmental socialization is not optimal.
